Cheeiky, i agree that this taiwan drama was a bit draggy, china drama has its issues but draggy is not one of them lol,
Anyway, MD was #2 man on this drama, he was not the lead, but it was his performance...
that stood out, that had eveyone talking about, performing such a very different character to the ususal one we see from him (Princely)
Drama ok, as a whole, and expected that Dylan would win the girl... but MD, for his #2 spot and limited screen time did really well.
He did a great job, playing a misunderstood 'bad" character in the drama, and MD has said, this role is among his favorites, since it was such a break thruough, break out role...and as for SBY, another role he had to play with all his emotions hidden/restrained for his real love DQH (CQE).

I do find Taiwan dramas draggy and lacking so I hardly watch those except for MD's dramas but I was thinking of giving Autumn Concerto a try since I read good comments of it. As for China dramas, somehow I have a poor impression of it so I steer clear of these unless the genre is wuxia then I will consider watching. Somehow, the ones I have watched so far is still not up to par except for MHTT (MD's drama) which I was pleasantly surprised.
I watched QQASN of course due to MD and yes, compared to Dylan, his acting is much better and interesting. If not for his scenes and his sister's, I would have fallen asleep before my notebook which I nearly did for Dylan and WYX scenes. I was also upset when I watched this drama to find out that MD is the second male lead. The producer conned MD fans by stated that MD had equal screen times with Dylan which was totally untrue. |

You must try and watch Always Smile and this current MD drama..Happy and Love Forever (XinFuYiDingQiang) They are wonderful, especially if you dont understand alot of chinese.. the episodes are pretty easy to understand and the acting was fast paced, well paced, fun, emotional and addicting... |

| I did not consider MD/GX a bad guy he was a dark/light prince. He had been a player until he met WYX and then love hit him and it became a challenge to capture her heart. He did pull out all stops he was ruthless without being cruel. He courted her for years and then got her because he said he would care for her terminally ill mother and do everything in his power to make her well. My heart broke in the scene in the hospital when he stood outside the door of WYX mom's room and heard what was taking place. When she died he lost hope and he removed the flower from his lapel. He knew he had lost any leverage he had to hold her. He desperately tried to comfort her but she refused to even to lean against him. When Dylan showed up and she accepted his comfort and GX wept in despair I was weeping with him. The only scenes worth watching in QQASN were with WYX and MD and his sister I loved the weekend date and the cute scene in bedroom. That was just adorable how GX removed her shoes while she was huddled under the bedspread with just her face showing and he playfully blew in her ear and told her he could wait until their wedding night. If he was not a gentleman he would have taken advantage. The dragging her away by force and the passionately violent kisses on her throat on the bed reminded me of a Thailand lakorn but was tame in comparison. I loved the character of GX. I just wish he could have won her heart. The other guy was just so boring. |

| I love the bear part! When he brought her to play a shooting game. He distracted her when it was her turn. He then quickly took a shot and won. He told the owner he wanted a bear as his prize. He asked her to press the bear's heart. And a voice came out "I love you" It was so sweet! |

I have watched Always Smile up till ep 21? I stopped as it wasn't interesting enough to me. I think it would be worse if I couldn't understand the dialogues. So far I enjoyed all MD dramas except these 2, QQASN and Always Smile.
The scenes of Dylan and WYX are so very boring. Even the scenes of WYX's brother and his dream girl is much more interesting and of course MD and Coco scenes are the best in this drama. Without them, I couldn't finish the show. |

I guess to each his/her own, Always Smiles was rated high in China (one of mingdee's favorite) and QQASN was considered breakthrough for MD and he stated it was his favorite performance role to date..even with PTF.. it will be interesting for you, regarding SBY since you have high standards. Curious, are you QE fan as well? What did you think of EFHL?  |

I actually have a love-hate relationship with Qiao Qiao Ai Shang Ni...
Love because I really like MD's performance here. As a baddie. He tried to woo the female lead for so many times but each time he was rejected.
Maybe the above reason wad why I hated the show as well :/ Unhappy ending  |
